AMA with Sasha 12/4/24
Another week, another AMA session with the Waves’ founder Sasha Ivanov. This week, Sasha has prepared some updates on the ecosystem progress, answered lots of questions and had a live dialogue with the community members. Key Points:
- We are preparing a massive campaign on the Units Network TestNet. At the moment, the TestNet is already processing thousands of transactions every day, and now we will need to create a massive marketing campaign around this. This will require creating a platform that will track the user activity and reward them with Points for doing so. These in turn will be converted into token rewards for users. The integration of this platform should be completed by Tuesday of next week, and around that time the massive KOL campaign will begin.
Q & A
Q: When will the WIND pool launch, given that the Neutrino DAO vote to invest in it has already ended.
Sasha: This pool is already up and running, in fact, the WIND pool token index itself can already be released on Puzzle Swap. However, there is a small rebalancing of the assets in the pool going on right now, it should be completed on Monday.
Q: Can gNSBT holders expect to receive income from this pool?
Sasha: Yes, I think just after the pool is rebalanced they will start getting some fees from that pool.
Q: What happened to Power DAO? I heard that someone released PWR tokens unauthorized?
Sasha: Yes, one of the first minter accounts that issued and distributed PWR drops to ecosystem token holders was hacked. And eventually, this account issued 300 PWR tokens, sold 200 of them, and staked the rest. Interestingly enough, he sold PWR and withdrew the proceeds to Kucoin, which we are already in talks with, but they need a police report, which we are preparing. So we intend to recover the funds.
Q: When should we expect a Units Network retrodrop?
Sasha: I think it will start next week.
Q: When will it be possible to try out the gateways on the TestNet?
Sasha: Either next week or the week after.
Q: When is the release of DEX on Units Network?
Sasha: Most likely with the release of Units Network in July.
Q: When will we see an uptrend in the process of the -WXG tokens buyback?
Sasha: As you probably already know, WX.Network trading fees are used to buy back -WXG tokens. By increasing them, we will also increase buyback volumes, and this can be done with the launch of Units Network in July.
Q: Recently, the Neutrino team burned 999 billion XTN tokens out of circulation. Could you explain the purpose of this move in a bit more detail?
Sasha: Of course! This ensures that XTN's supply will not increase, which should make the buyback much more efficient. So it will continue to be bought back and burned.
Q: You've been traveling a lot lately, and there are a lot of crypto events going on right now to spread the word about Units Network. Do you plan to speak at some of them?
Sasha: Sure! I was recently in Hong Kong and talked to some VCs, but I think it's worth speaking at such conferences too. I think I will have such an opportunity in Dubai!
