AMA with Sasha 13/9/24

Another week, another AMA session with the Waves’ founder Sasha Ivanov. This week, Sasha has prepared some updates on the ecosystem progress, answered lots of questions and had a live dialogue with the community members. Key Points:

• We are getting ready to launch a mini-app for Telegram, I think it will be interesting and unique.
• As for the Units Network development, it is essentially complete. And next week we will finalize the TestNet campaign and relaunch the TestNet network.
• And don't forget that before the MainNet Units launch, your L2MPs must be staked to not miss out on the first rewards! So go to https://rideonwaves.io/ and make sure you choose the node you want to stake your tokens at.
• This week we also had some exciting news on PETE, which finally reached its 1 USD price threshold! It will continue to evolve, I have a couple more ideas on developing PETE's mechanics.
• Next week I'll be going to Singapore for TOKEN2049 and I'm giving a talk there. There will be a lot of VC's and hopefully we will be able to finalize all the deals with them.

Q & A

Q: What about the Neutrino Protocol? Any updates coming?

Sasha: I think we'll be seeing a lot of announcements in the coming weeks after the release of Units Network, including some Neutrino-related ones.

Q: Do I understand correctly that now you can only stake, and unstaking is unavailable?

Sasha: Yes, that's right! By staking L2MP now, you will only be able to claim it when Units Network launches!

Q: When should we expect the release of Units Network?

Sasha: End of September to early October!

Q: You mentioned a mini-app on Telegram. Will it be exclusively for Units Network?

Sasha: No, I think a number of Waves projects will be promoted with it!

Q: What about Feature 23? Do you think it's worth voting for?

Sasha: I think we should hold off on this decision for now, but get back to it again after the release of Units Network, because the increased profitability of staking and the resolution of the situation with the XTN buyback could give a significant boost to the whole ecosystem.

Q: What's in store for WX.Network?

Sasha: This is something I can definitely share. WX.Network is expecting to launch a meme token trading platform pretty soon, so stay tuned for more news.
