AMA with Sasha 14/4/23
Another week, another AMA session with the Waves’ founder Sasha Ivanov. This week, Sasha has prepared some updates on the ecosystem progress, answered lots of questions and had a live dialogue with the community members. Q & A
Q: Tell us about sentinels for Waves DAO, and how to become one.
Sasha: We’ve recently changed that, so there will be no sentinels, everything will be fully decentralized.
Q: Could you comment on the minimum amount of POWER needed to be locked? 10 POWER sounds like a bit too much.
Sasha: If we see that the proposal is not moving forward, maybe we can bring it down a bit.
Q: Are you going to integrate AI into Waves in some way?
Sasha: AI is changing the world as we speak and I think It’s an interesting area to explore.
Q: Is there some kind of filter for those who want to participate in Power DAO?
Sasha: It’s all decentralized and all you need to participate is 10 POWER tokens.
Q: When will stablecoins get back to peg?
Sasha: We’re resolving the issues with gateways causing the depeg, and we will also use WX fees to buy back stablecoins. So the situation will persist until the audit is over. We’ll let you know what to do next in time.
Q: Is there a goal for XTN to reach $1?
Sasha: The goal is actually higher, because it’s no longer a stablecoin. We’ll introduce new utility for XTN soon.
Q: Are you planning to come up with some decentralized solution for crypto developer teams funding? Maybe reroute a part of staking earnings.
Sasha: Yeah, it’s a good idea and I’m actually cooking up something like that, but it’s not finalized yet.
Q: If you have access to funds on cold wallets and on proxy addresses, why do we need to source funds from outside to process withdrawals?
Sasha: We can’t collect funds from all the proxy addresses due to technical issues, at least for now.
Q: Is your prediction about the resolution of the stuck transactions problem still valid?
Sasha: Yes. However, the stuck transactions will have to be canceled anyway, partly because Binance changed some user addresses.
Q: Will you still cancel the withdrawals if the proposal doesn’t reach the quorum?
Sasha: We will go with the community’s decision and if the quorum is not reached, transactions will not be canceled.
Q: Do you prefer a slow growth for Waves or a spike?
Sasha: I think it’s a good time to forget about bull runs and focus on our own thing and the community. It’s going to take time but the result will be better.
