AMA with Sasha 18/10/24

Another week, another AMA session with the Waves’ founder Sasha Ivanov. This week, Sasha has prepared some updates on the ecosystem progress, answered lots of questions and had a live dialogue with the community members.

Key Points:

  • Today we are launching a Units Wallet app in Telegram. There, you can participate in the TestNet campaign and earn UNIT0 tokens before the MainNet release. Over time we will add Waves and a number of other networks.
  • You can expect the Units Network release at the end of this month. We have already organized partnerships with a number of CEXs and launchpads, so you only have a couple of weeks left.
  • In addition to this, we are also preparing a number of releases. One of the most important ones right now is the official decentralized Units gateway, along with partner gateways onboarding. A couple of other unannounced things are currently in development as well.

Q & A

Q:Can we expect more details on UNIT0 tokenomics soon?

Sasha: Yes, it will be published soon, but while negotiations with our partners are ongoing, it is still extremely difficult to finalize it. However, I can assure you that participants of our campaigns will get a significant share of the supply, and will start receiving their tokens from day one of the network launch. And vesting will guarantee stable market conditions throughout the Units launch.

Q: So the price of UNIT0 should be high at the start?

Sasha: That's right! We plan to keep the token's supply low enough for quite a long time.

Q: And what's in store for Waves after the launch of Units Network?

Sasha: I have big plans for Power DAO, so I think this project will get a major update.

Q: Are you planning to speak at any events anytime soon?

Sasha: Yes, one will be held in Dubai, and maybe I will go to Thailand. And after that we will probably start organizing our own events, with a focus on Power and DAO.

Q: Can we expect an increase in the rate of -WXG and XTN buyback?

Sasha: Sure, but once Units Network launches, we'll have more resources to devote to it. Not to mention that the release should affect the price of WAVES and therefore the rate of XTN buybacks.
