AMA with Sasha 19/4/24

Another week, another AMA session with the Waves’ founder Sasha Ivanov. This week, Sasha has prepared some updates on the ecosystem progress, answered lots of questions and had a live dialogue with the community members. Key Points:

• We are planning to launch another major marketing campaign around Units Network, but as you may have heard, I am going to speak at a couple of major events, so I think it would be wise to postpone this campaign until Monday next week, after all the events have finished.
• The Units Network development itself is also progressing and it should be possible to launch your own TestNet node next week.

Q & A

Q: Hi! I was told in the Vires.Finance chat that the conversion to XTN vesting for the remaining deposits will resume in the future, but how is this possible if all XTN are burned?

Sasha: There's clearly been a misunderstanding. The XTN tokens on the Neutrino smart contract were burned, and we use the collateral left by Vires.Finance in exchange for loans. So Vires.Finance has funds to continue the conversions.

Q: What is the Keeper Wallet team working on right now?

Sasha: They are now actively working on relaunching Waves Domains.

Q: What about WAVES tokens that were fraudulently bought with PWR?

Sasha: We are already in the process of preparing a police report for Kucoin, so the plan is to get them back.

Q: I wonder about the XTN buyback. Is there any time frame?

Sasha: At the moment we can give an approximate time frame of 2-3 years, but we will try to speed up the process.

Q: How is Power DAO doing? Are there any plans for this project?

Sasha: Of course! And the biggest one right now is the Mother DAO expansion. The plan is to do a massive onboarding of a large number of new users into it. We'll be focusing on that after Units Network launches.
