AMA with Sasha 21/6/24

Another week, another AMA session with the Waves’ founder Sasha Ivanov. This week, Sasha has prepared some updates on the ecosystem progress, answered lots of questions and had a live dialogue with the community members. Key Points:

• We are preparing to release the Units Network gateways and start testing them next week. The related tasks will also be added to our questing platform and you will be able to help test the new gateways and earn rewards.
• The marketing campaign for Units is gaining momentum, I am actively promoting it on various platforms and popular channels, as well as negotiating with VCs interested in our project.
• Also don't forget about the upcoming launch of the TVL campaign soon.

Q & A

Q: Why don't you increase the daily limit on XTN withdrawals from vesting on Vires Finance?

Sasha: As I said at the previous AMA, this is something that has a chance of happening, but I think that a vote should be held first to see if the Vires community is willing to take this step. Also, keep in mind that this step can cause some FUD.

Q: Do you think that Neutrino Index should be developed not only for EVM blockchains, but also for SOL and TON?

Sasha: Quite a reasonable idea, however EVM is the first step and the Neutrino team is actively working on it, which takes some time.

Q: Perhaps we should let CEX's know about the Waves plans and the launch of Units Network?

Sasha: We already have plans for collaboration with Korean exchanges, and I think we will see the first stages of it very soon.

Q: What about the $PWR hack? Any progress on that?

Sasha: Yes, at the moment KuCoin requires KYC for the authorities dealing with this case, and after that further action will be possible.

Q: How is Power DAO different from similar governance projects?

Sasha: Power DAO operates on different principles, the main of which is responsibility for decision making. If a DAO participant makes decisions that lead to non-fulfillment of KPI parameters of DAO they lose a part of their voting power, this is the nature of slashing. And vice versa, for those who make decisions favorable for DAO, their voting power increases.

Q: Any ideas on how to deal with those who abstain from voting in the DAO?

Sasha: Yes, and I think we should discuss these ideas in the near future.

Q: What about the WX.Network team? I've heard it's been downsized quite a bit now.

Sasha: That's true, however once Units Network launches, I think they are going to hire new people.

Q: When does the Units Network's TVL campaign start?

Sasha: I don't think we should expect it next week, as we need to recruit some more KOL managers for it. Early July is a more feasible time frame.
