AMA with Sasha 23/6/23

Another week, another AMA session with the Waves’ founder Sasha Ivanov. This week, Sasha has prepared some updates on the ecosystem progress, answered lots of questions and had a live dialogue with the community members. Key Points:

• The miners' vote has been accepted. It will help us to finally deal with the situation at hand. The voting phase will end in about a week and its activation will start.
• Many new Waves DAO proposals have been accepted. However, the EAST proposal unfortunately did not pass, due to insufficient funding. Hopefully it will be resubmitted as soon as funds are available again thanks to the miners' vote.

Q & A

Q: What are the next steps for Waves DAO?

Sasha: At the moment there are the new interface for working with LP tokens, the activation of the miners' vote and income from it, new teams with new proposals, and the KPI milestone.

Q: When will SURF holders get their POWER tokens?

Sasha: I think, regarding SURF in general we need a separate roadmap, but when it comes to the POWER airdrop, we need to be mindful of the current market situation, because POWER is intended to be scarce. I think it will happen closer to the KPI milestone.

Q: Should there be a new token in the Neutrino treasury after the miners' vote?

Sasha: Yes, we should discuss which token it should be.

Q: When will BTC-WXG be available for withdrawal?

Sasha: Can't promise that it will be available tomorrow, at the moment we are planning to buy back more -WXG tokens and find additional funding for that.

Q: When will the liquidity of -WXG Vires markets (v1 markets) recover?

Sasha: At the moment, there is a -WXG markets debt repayment that is helping with this. After that I will assume the debts that will have not been repaid.

Q: What about the XTN trading bot? What are your thoughts on it at the moment?

Sasha: I don't think we should make it a part of the Neutrino protocol at this point. We should make it a separate thing built thanks to the Neutrino protocol.

Q: How will the KPI be calculated given that the entire Waves DAO treasury has been distributed and has collapsed by 100%?

Sasha: I think that for the first Waves DAO results (KPI milestone), the KPI rules described in the original proposal will not be taken into account. However, this will change later.

Q: How will the core ecosystem developers be sponsored?

Sasha: I have some ideas that I will be able to share soon.

Q: How will the LP token amount for Waves DAO be calculated?

Sasha: At the moment, this is still under discussion.

Q: Any news about Swop.fi?

Sasha: The team is focusing on AXLY.

Q: Any progress on VCs?

Sasha: Negotiations with VC representatives are still actively underway.

Q: Are there any GameFi projects planned in the near future?

Sasha: There are teams who may apply for funding through Waves DAO, however I am not yet convinced that this will happen.

Q: What is the plan to boost trading volumes on WX?

Sasha: I think we will need to add more trading pairs, and definitely do some marketing.

Q: What happens when the Waves DAO sponsored teams spend their funding?

Sasha: Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done in this case, but don't forget that all the teams with proposals have described in detail what will happen to the funds and what they will be spent on.
