AMA with Sasha 26/7/24

Another week, another AMA session with the Waves’ founder Sasha Ivanov. This week, Sasha has prepared some updates on the ecosystem progress, answered lots of questions and had a live dialogue with the community members. Key Points:

• This week we have finished our hackathon! The result was the creation of 3 interfaces for Units Network gateways, next week you will be able to try them out. Of course, quests regarding the testing of these gateways will be added to our questing and Zealy campaigns. For now, however, these gateways only work one way. You can use them to send tokens from Units TestNet to Waves TestNet, but the full functionality will be available next week.
• I also should mention that the L2MP token has already appeared on the ETH network, along with the corresponding gateway: https://app.allbridge.io/bridge?from=WAVE&to=ETH&asset=L2MP
• Soon there will be a gateway for the Solana blockchain. And I think it will be reasonable to prepare a separate interface for the Waves users.

Q & A

Q: Why is voting for Feature 23 not supported by the miners?

Sasha: The Waves community is decentralized and at the moment the word "inflation" still scares a lot of people away. I'm trying to explain to them the essence of this proposal, but if it will not be accepted in the near future, I think it will be more reasonable to just find another solution.

Q: And how many votes is required to make that decision?
Sasha: I think at least 80% of miners should be supporting this proposal.

Q: Is there any chance that more CEx’s will decide to delist WAVES because of this proposal?

Sasha: We are in close communication with many of the exchanges, so I think that the chance of any delisting is extremely small.

Q: Will an official marketplace for NFT tokens be developed on Waves?

Sasha: We already have a number of projects with a similar functionality, for example https://puzzlemarket.org/

Q: Given that L2MP is now listed on many exchanges outside the Waves network, perhaps we should create gateways for PETE as well?

Sasha: Good idea, I think it would be wise to list a number of other ecosystem tokens.

Q: What do the Korean exchanges think of Feature 23? 

Sasha: They don't use the tokens they hold for voting for regulatory reasons. Even though we've explained it to them and keep them up to date on everything.

Q: When will the PWR token awards for WAVES stakers be distributed?

Sasha: Nice of you to remind me! We are working with members of our community to prepare a more convenient Telegram wallet that will allow us to conduct a marketing campaign for Power DAO. And with it comes the distribution of these awards.

Q: What do you think is a fair price for L2MP?

Sasha: There are quite a few factors here, however considering the current supply of the token and the fact that it will get more than 10% of UNIT0's supply... I think its fair price is at least 4 times the current price.

Q: What about those PWR tokens that were illegally issued and sold?

Sasha: This situation is gradually being resolved. The request we submitted has been answered and we are even told that the perpetrator has been identified. So I think the situation will be resolved soon.
