AMA with Sasha 29/9/23

Another week, another AMA session with the Waves’ founder Sasha Ivanov. This week, Sasha has prepared some updates on the ecosystem progress, answered lots of questions and had a live dialogue with the community members. Key Points:

• Marketing DAO has finally received funding and has been launched! And it will start working next week.
• Neutrino DAO was also supposed to launch this week, but it will have to be postponed until next week. I think we can expect an announcement as early as this coming Monday-Tuesday, and a little later will be the announcement of the WX DAO.
• Both of these DAOs will pass the acceptance stage in the Mother DAO, so members of the Power DAO community will have the opportunity to earn staking income by participating in the voting process.
• Waves 1.5 is almost ready for release on StageNet! I think you can expect it on Testnet in October.
• Next week we should also expect to see the launch of the PETE marketing campaign.

Q & A

Q: Did you give out the awards for the last AMA contest yet?
Sasha: Yes, one lucky person has already received 1000 PETE for his comment and repost. Unfortunately we don't have any such activities today. 

Q: What did you mean when you said the Mother DAO would have its own treasury?

Sasha: Essentially, the participants of the Mother DAO will vote to issue new POWER tokens, which in turn will go to the Child DAOs.

Q: Marketing DAO has launched. When will the Power DAO campaign start?
Sasha: It will start in a week (09.10 - 15.10).

Q: You said Marketing DAO would help grow Waves DAO's treasury. Would you mind to explain how?

Sasha: Any projects, including those that will be funded through Waves DAO. This marketing will indirectly help to grow the projects which tokens were donated to the Waves DAO treasury, therefore it will have to grow in USD equivalent.

Q: Will there be a more precise timeline for the next POWER distributions/drops?

Sasha: I think so, since the plan is to make decisions on such distributions through Mother DAO. 

Q: When will -WXG tokens be exchanged for their more liquid counterparts on a one-to-one basis?

Sasha: We are doing our best to increase trading volume on WX, as the fees go towards buying back -WXG tokens, but it's hard to give any timelines at the moment.

Q: What do you think of the http://binaries.market/ project that recently launched?

Sasha: I think that it will be extremely useful for the ecosystem, however I don't think it is worth discussing all the intricacies of binary options trading with me.

Q: Are plans to launch derivatives trading on Waves still on track?

Sasha: Of course!

Q: What do you think is the best advice for the Puzzle ecosystem right now?

Sasha: I think they can definitely be praised for their latest release of LP tokens for Puzzle Lend! I would advise looking at fixed-rate lending protocol models, I think this is an extremely interesting idea that should fit into Puzzle Lend and bring "clarity" to users.

Q: Could you give an example of what a Marketing DAO can do for a project?

Sasha: It can work on expanding your community, recruiting new users, writing articles, etc.
