AMA with Sasha 31/5/24

Another week, another AMA session with the Waves’ founder Sasha Ivanov. This week, Sasha has prepared some updates on the ecosystem progress, answered lots of questions and had a live dialogue with the community members. Key Points:

• This week we launched the TestNet campaign, and with it a quest platform where you can already earn Units Points (UP) and later get UNIT0 tokens. Since its launch on Wednesday, our users have already made 500K transactions! 
• As the campaign continues, we intend to increase the number of these transactions as well as attention to Units Network. The next step is to launch the Units Network TVL campaign in a couple of weeks.

Q & A

Q: What exactly will the TVL campaign be about? 

Sasha: Users will be able to get UNIT0 for providing liquidity to the ecosystem. And the first of the tokens that can be staked will be WAVES. It will have the biggest rewards too. More details on the terms will be available soon, and it is possible that there will also be collaboration with centralized exchanges.

Q: Is there any progress on the buyback of -WXG tokens?  

Sasha: As I said before, we are about 10 million USD short to complete the buyout, currently it is done through WX.Network trading fees. However, with the release of Units Network there will be alternative methods to reduce the supply of -WXG tokens, such as converting them to UNIT0.

Q: When will there be new DApps on Units Network?

Sasha: Depends on which DApp you want to test. I made a tweet where you can post your ideas and vote for a specific project that is worth implementing.

Q: What about the WEST token? Is the gateway ready yet?

Sasha: The new decentralized gateway for this token is already being prepared and is scheduled to launch in June.

Q: What can you tell about SURF, is the original plan still valid? 

Sasha: Yes! You will be able to convert it to XTN as soon as the XTN price reaches 1.15 USD.

Q: And how about the NSBT token?

Sasha: With NSBT, almost all plans have been finalized with the launch of the WIND pool, which is now directing its revenue to the Neutrino DAO treasury! However, Neutrino Index, a future EVM protocol, will probably launch on Units Network first. Then it would make sense to roll it out to other EVM blockchains.

Q: When will Units Network's questing platform distribute rewards?

Sasha: Once the UNIT0 token is released.

Q: And will there be quests related to the promotion of the project on socials?

Sasha: We are preparing something like that for the telegram bot, so stay tuned!

Q: When should we expect this release?

Sasha: It is currently scheduled for August this year.

Q: I hear something big is cooking for Power DAO.

Sasha: Yes, I think it's time to announce that we are preparing a Telegram bot that will help with the promotion of the project.

Q: The Ambassador  DAO sprint is about to end, what are the plans going forward?

Sasha: Overall, it is planned to merge it with the Zealy campaign. With favorable conditions for the Zealy community, it may be interested in supporting the campaign and promoting the ecosystem projects.
