Q & A

Q: Why Waves 2.0? Please focus on original chain, focus on  new dApps and developers.

Sasha: Waves 2.0 will continue what we’ve been doing, but we also need to move forward, along with the development of the blockchain technology, like ZK EVMs which are crucial for scalability.

Q: How many projects choose to enlarge their partnerships and seek more ambassadors to strengthen their project? Will Waves do the same in the near future?

Sasha: The ambassador program is being handled by Waves Labs, and it’s working out pretty well and they’re scaling it up. So you can join the ambassador program for Waves, maybe there will be separate programs for different teams and projects later on.

Q: When pump WAVES to $100?

Sasha: If we execute what we want to execute, maybe WAVES will be $100. No pumping, but hopefully, the crypto market will appreciate WAVES more. But first we need to resolve the situation with bridges and liquidity.

Q: Are you going to inject any liquidity when the stuck transactions are cancelled?

Sasha: Liquidity will be injected, but it’s not going to be too fast. We'll come up with a clear plan to provide some sources for the buybacks as well. Please stay tuned for the announcements.

Q: Have you thought about the possibility to make other chains buy Waves USDT and USDC to provide more liquidity?

Sasha: We’re not planning to do that, but I think there will be people willing to profit off of this arbitrage opportunity anyway.

Q: Since the start of SURF, a few things have changed. Are you sticking to the original plan with it?

Sasha: I wouldn’t change anything about SURF now, but there are some ideas regarding XTN.

Q: I know that you’re not keen on the idea of whales investing into the ecosystem, but what are your thoughts on VCs?

Sasha: I don’t think VCs are good for crypto, there’re a lot of issues with them. But if we find some good ones to work with, why not?

Q: Which tokens will be converted my position to in the Algo Strategy on WX upon exit?

Sasha: It should be converted to the new WX tokens.

Q: What about the POWER drop to SURF holders?

Sasha: It wasn’t in the plans, but it’s a good idea.

Q: How do you see the future of crypto and the role of Waves?

Sasha: I think crypto as it is is dying at the moment. Probably we’re moving towards CBDCs, and crypto will be reduced to some form of niche thing, and this thing is what I’m interested in. How the blockchain technology changes the way we function as a society. I want Waves to be at the forefront of innovation.
