2. Rules for DAO Participants

As a Unit0 token holder, your participation in governance is crucial. Here’s how you can contribute effectively:

2.1 Participation in Governance

  • Stay Informed: Educate yourself about each proposal before voting. Blind voting can harm the ecosystem. Take time to analyze the project's roadmap, milestones, and value proposition.
  • Assess Impact: Evaluate each project based on its potential to enhance the Units ecosystem and the value it brings to the Unit0 token.
  • Collaborate: Engage in discussions, ask questions, and provide constructive feedback on proposals.

2.2 Voting Rules

  • Stake a minimum of 1 Unit0 token to participate in voting via the governance portal: https://dao.unit0.dev/.
  • Vote only for proposals that:
    1. Present a clear and detailed roadmap.
    2. Show measurable milestones and objectives.
    3. Demonstrate tangible value to the ecosystem.

2.3 Best Practices for Voting

  • Prioritize projects that align with the core principles of the DAO.
  • Avoid supporting projects that:
    1. Lack a development plan.
    2. Seek funding solely for deployment without clear objectives.
    3. May sell grants for profit without delivering value.
  • Remember, your votes shape the future of the ecosystem - vote responsibly.

3. Rules for Projects

Projects are the lifeblood of the Units ecosystem. To ensure alignment with our goals, all projects must adhere to the following guidelines:

3.1 Proposal Requirements

All proposals must include the following information:

  • Project Overview: Provide a clear and concise description of the project, its mission, and the problems it aims to solve within the blockchain ecosystem.
  • Roadmap: Provide a clear and realistic timeline for project milestones.
  • Milestones: Break down the project into actionable steps, with grants tied to milestone completion.
  • Social Media Links: Share links to official project accounts for transparency and accountability.
  • Value Proposition: Explain the project's contribution to the Units.Network ecosystem.

3.2 Grant Allocation

  • Initial deployment grants are limited to 20,000-30,000 Unit0 tokens.
  • Subsequent grants are released based on milestone achievements, such as TVL (Total Value Locked) growth for DeFi projects or user acquisition metrics for DApps.
  • Projects must stake 1,000 Unit0 tokens to submit a proposal. This stake discourages spam and low-quality submissions.

3.3 Ongoing Responsibilities

  • Regularly update the DAO community on progress toward milestones.
  • Notify stakeholders promptly of any delays or changes to the roadmap.
  • Utilize grant funds responsibly and solely for the project's development within the Units ecosystem.
